Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi – Transfer to Hotel

Upon your arrival at Tbilisi International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Tbilisi. After check-in, you will have time to relax, recover from your flight, and prepare for the unforgettable adventure awaiting you in the breathtaking Lagodekhi Protected Areas.

Day 2: Tbilisi – Lagodekhi – Village Matsimi – Machi Fortress – Lagodekhi

After breakfast, you will meet your guide and depart for Lagodekhi. Upon arrival, you will visit the information center in the village of Matsimi, where your trekking adventure begins.

The trail follows the picturesque “Dark Gorge” river. Along the way, you will walk through hornbeam groves and pass moss-covered stones, surrounded by pristine nature. Like stepping into a fairytale, you will continue through beautiful beech forests and cross the “Dark Gorge” river. From there, a narrow mountain path leads to the centuries-old Machi Fortress, built by our ancestors and hidden deep in the forest.

Lunch will be enjoyed en route.

In the evening, you will return to Lagodekhi for dinner and overnight at a cozy guesthouse.

Day 3: Lagodekhi – Gurgeniani Village – Ninoskhevi Waterfall – Lagodekhi

After breakfast, you will visit the information center in Gurgeniani Village, where your trekking adventure begins along the Ninoskhevi River. The sound of the river, small cascades, massive boulders, and the gentle valley breeze will make your journey full of excitement and natural beauty.

A short walk will bring you to the magical Ninoskhevi Waterfall, 40 meters high and considered one of the most stunning waterfalls in Georgia. Lunch will be served along the way.

Later, you will return to Lagodekhi, where dinner and overnight stay will be at a cozy guesthouse.

Day 4: Lagodekhi – Meteo Tourist Shelter

After checking in at the park administration, you will begin trekking along the incredible Black Rock Lake Route, following a beautiful and scenic trail through the stunning landscapes of Lagodekhi National Park. The trail offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains.

Lunch will be served along the way. In the evening, you will reach the Meteo Tourist Shelter, where dinner and overnight stay will provide rest and recovery for the next day’s adventure.

Day 5: Meteo Tourist Shelter – Black Rock Lake – Demidov Tourist Shelter

Today’s adventure continues along the Kochalo Ridge. Within an hour, you will reach the upper alpine zone of the forest, where wildlife enthusiasts may observe rare hoofed animals such as deer, chamois, and ibex, as well as birds including grouse, Caucasian Snowcock, bearded vulture, and various species of eagles.

From the Demidov Ruins, you will have panoramic views of these magnificent animals and the untouched wilderness. The area also features picturesque small glacial lakes and marshlands, shaped by nature's magic.

After approximately 30 minutes, the spectacular Black Rock Lake comes into view - a natural border with the Russian Federation. Lunch will be served near the lake before continuing to the Demidov Tourist Shelter, where dinner and a well-deserved rest await you.

Day 6: Demidov Tourist Shelter – Lagodekhi

Today, we will return to the administrative center. Along the way, you will visit the beautiful Rocho Waterfall and enjoy the scenic surroundings. Later, you will relax at the guesthouse in Lagodekhi, where a delicious dinner featuring traditional Georgian dishes will be served.

Day 7: Lagodekhi - Nekresi - Gremi - Tbilisi

Today, you will return to Tbilisi through the beautiful landscapes of the Kakheti wine region. Along the way, you will visit the picturesque Nekresi Monastery, one of the oldest Christian monasteries in Georgia, founded in the 4th century and beautifully located on a forested hillside overlooking the Alazani Valley.

You will also explore the impressive Gremi Fortress, a remarkable 16th-century architectural complex that once served as the royal citadel and capital of the Kingdom of Kakheti. Surrounded by scenic vineyards and mountain views, Gremi is considered one of the most important historical landmarks in Eastern Georgia.

In the afternoon, you will continue your journey to Tbilisi for your final night, where you can enjoy a relaxing evening in the vibrant capital of Georgia.

Day 8: Tbilisi Walking Tour – Airport Transfer

After breakfast, you will enjoy an Old Tbilisi walking tour. During the walk, you will explore the main highlights of Georgia’s capital, including historic streets, sulfur baths, and other key attractions of the Old Town.

After the tour, you will have lunch and free time to continue exploring the city or relax at your own pace.

In the evening, you will enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Georgian restaurant.

Later, we will provide a transfer to the airport, marking the end of your journey.
