The founders of the company, as well as the guides we work closely with, are GMGA-certified hiking, mountain, and ski guides. Our mountain guides are also certified by IFMGA, ensuring the highest standards of safety, expertise, and professionalism.

Tamar Todua - Founder & CEO

Tamar holds a Master’s degree in Innovation and Tourism Marketing from the Catholic University of Murcia, Spain. Before entering the tourism industry, she gained valuable experience in various management positions, developing strong leadership and organizational skills. Combining her professional expertise with a passion for travel and Georgia’s cultural heritage, she founded Best Place Georgia to create authentic and memorable travel experiences for visitors from around the world.

Saba Gogsadze - Tour Manager

Saba Gogsadze - Tour Manager

Saba graduated with an MA in Tourism Geography at Tbilisi State University and since then has been actively working as a tour manager. Passionate about Georgia’s mountains, culture, and remote regions, he specializes in organizing trekking, cultural, and adventure tours across the country. His strong knowledge of destinations, logistics, and traveler needs helps create smooth, authentic, and memorable travel experiences for every guest.

Irakli Bandzeladze - Web Developer

Irakli Bandzeladze - Web Developer

Irakli has been working as a web developer since 2007, with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. He holds a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Tbilisi State University. He previously worked at the Georgian National Tourism Administration and brings valuable technical expertise and industry knowledge to our team. Today, he plays a key role in developing and maintaining the digital presence of Best Place Georgia.

Salome Bandzeladze - Lawyer

Salome Bandzeladze - Lawyer

Salome is a qualified and experienced lawyer with a successful career in both the private and public sectors. She has worked as a legal advisor in several banks and currently serves at the Ministry of Health. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from Caucasus University in Georgia. Alongside her legal career, Salome has always been passionate about travel, and she now enjoys being part of the tourism industry as a valued member of our team.

Makho - Ski Guide

Makho - Ski Guide

Makho Gigani is a graduate of the Adventure Tourism School and a certified Ski and Trekking Guide. He is a member of the Georgian Mountain Guide Association. He is a native of Svaneti. Having grown up surrounded by the mountains, he has a deep admiration for the Svaneti region and its landscapes. He is highly appreciated by guests from all over the world for his kind nature, warm personality, professionalism, and guiding skills.

Lasha - Mountain & Ski Guide

Lasha - Mountain & Ski Guide

Lasha Pirtskheliani is a highly experienced and fully certified IFMGA Mountain and Ski Guide with extensive knowledge of Georgia’s mountainous regions. Originally from Svaneti, he developed a deep passion for the mountains and nature from an early age, which inspired him to pursue a career in guiding. Lasha is a graduate of the Adventure Tourism School and a member of the Georgian Mountain Guide Association. His working languages are English and Russian.

Zura - Mountain & Ski Guide

Zura - Mountain & Ski Guide

Born and raised in Mestia, Svaneti, Zura Phaliani developed a deep connection with the mountains from an early age. He began exploring local hiking trails while still at school, and over time his passion for the outdoors grew into a profession. Today, Zura is a fully certified IFMGA Mountain and Ski Guide with extensive experience guiding in Georgia’s mountain regions. His working language is English. He is also a member of the Georgian Mountain Guides Association.

Lika - Cultural Guide

Lika - Cultural Guide

Lika Jguburia is an experienced cultural guide with extensive knowledge of Georgian art, history, and culture. Her tours are engaging, insightful, and enjoyable, offering travelers a deeper understanding of Georgia’s rich cultural heritage. Passionate about the arts, she specializes in guiding tours to some of the country’s most renowned museums and cultural institutions, including the Gudiashvili Gallery, and the Pirosmani Museum. Her working language is French.

Rusa - Cultural & Trekking Guide

Rusa Varshalomidze has been actively involved in the tourism industry since 2000. She is a certified Trekking Guide by the Adventure Tourism School and serves as the representative of the Trekking Guide Cluster on the board of the Georgian Mountain Guide Association. Over the years, Rusa has led numerous cultural and trekking tours throughout Georgia, sharing her extensive knowledge of the country's history, culture, and natural heritage. Her working language is English. She is also an active member of the Georgian Mountain Guide Association.

Emilly - Cultural & Trekking Guide

Emilly - Cultural & Trekking Guide

Emilly  Kvaratskhelia is an experienced guide with extensive knowledge of every region of Georgia. In 2012, she completed professional training as a cultural sightseeing guide at a guide school and has since led numerous groups from around the world. Emilly specializes in both cultural and trekking tours, guiding travelers throughout Georgia's diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage. Her working language is English. Known for her professionalism, attentiveness, and cheerful personality, she is dedicated to ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable and rewarding travel experience.

Nutsa - Cultural & Trekking Guide

Nutsa - Cultural & Trekking Guide

Nutsa Tskimanauri joined the tourism industry in 2011, organizing and guiding cultural and trekking tours in Georgia's Javakheti region. She is passionate about nature, trekking, and horseback riding. Over the years, she has led tours throughout Georgia for travelers from around the world. Since 2018, she has been a certified trekking guide through the Adventure Tourism School. Nutsa is a member of the Georgian Mountain Guides Association (GMGA). Her working language is English.

Takko - Trekking Guide

Takko Todua has been working in the tourism industry since 2013. In 2018, she became a certified trekking guide through the Adventure Tourism School and has since been leading trekking tours throughout the Georgian Caucasus Mountains. She holds a Master's degree in Innovation and Tourism Marketing from Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, Spain. Combining her professional tourism background with extensive field experience, Takko is passionate about sharing Georgia’s mountains, culture, and natural heritage with travelers. Her working language is English.

Misha - Trekking Guide

Misha - Trekking Guide

Misha Grebenuk is a certified trekking guide and ski instructor, certified by the Adventure Tourism School. He is one of the most popular and highly regarded trekking guides among travelers in our company. Guests consistently praise his extensive knowledge, friendly nature, and engaging personality. Misha is a member of the Georgian Mountain Guides Association. His working languages are Russian and English.

Miranda - Trekking Guide

Miranda - Trekking Guide

Since 2013, Miranda Aghapishvili has been leading a wide range of multi-day trekking and hiking tours across Georgia. In 2018, she became a certified trekking guide after graduating from the Adventure Tourism School. She holds a Master’s degree in Tourism and Development Studies from the University of Toulouse -Jean Jaurès in France. Her working language is French. Miranda is a valued member of our team and an important contributor to Georgia’s tourism industry.

Giorgi - Trekking Guide

Giorgi - Trekking Guide

Giorgi Nadareishvili graduated from the Adventure Tourism School in 2018 and has been a certified trekking guide ever since. His deep knowledge of the Georgian mountains and passion for nature inspired him to pursue a professional career in guiding. With more than ten years of experience in the tourism industry, Giorgi has worked extensively with guests from all over the world. He speaks both English and Russian.
