ITINERARY:
Day 1: Tbilisi – Borjomi – Rabati castle – Sapara monastery – Vardzia
In the morning, you will head to resort Borjomi, which is famous for its mineral water springs. You will have a walk in Borjomi-Kharagauli national park and taste prominent mineral water – Borjomi.
Later, you will drive to Akhaltsikhe, where you will visit renovated Rabati fortress.
You will also visit the beautiful Sapara monastery, which is located on a high mountain terrace in the forest.
Afterward, you will visit the magnificent Vardzia Cave Monastery Complex (XII-XIII centuries), which is one of the most popular travel destinations in Georgia.
Overnight will be in a hotel/cottage/guesthouse.

Day 2: Khertvisi fortress – Paravani lake – Sagamo lake – Poka nunnery
After breakfast, you will visit centuries-old Khertvisi fortress (II century BC). Afterward, you will pay a visit to spectacular Paravani and Saghamo lakes.
Paravani lake is located in Javakheti Plateau, between Abul-Samsari and Javakheti Ranges, at an altitude of 2,073 m above sea level. Whereas, Sagamo lake is located next to Paravani lake, at an elevation of 1996 m.
You will also visit Poka nunnery of St. Nino (XI century).
In the evening, you will return to the capital of Tbilisi.
