Eastern Georgia 4WD tour

On this day, you will visit rock-hewn David Gareja Georgian Orthodox monastery complex, founded in the VI century and located in the semi-desert area on the border of Georgia and Azerbaijan (in case of desire, we will have a walking tour around the monastery). Later, we will see one of the most significant cities of Kakheti region – Sighnaghi, where you will taste excellent Kakhetian wines and traditional dishes. In the evening, you will have free time to walk and explore beautiful narrow streets of Sighnaghi.

After the breakfast you will go to Dedoplistskaro. After the registration at Vashlovani Protected Area’s administration, you will visit ancient Khornabuji fortress, beautiful St. Elias Monastery, picturesque Panti Shara and Datviskhevi gorges. You will also explore attractive City of Swallows and Alesilebi.

You will spend the night in Mijniskuri tourist shelter, in the comfortable cottage or tent. You will have dinner near the bonfire.

After the breakfast, you will return from Mijniskuri and will visit Dali reservoir and Takhti-Tepha Natural Monument (small volcanoes), and charming Gremi fortress.

On this day, you will explore one of the most attractive sites of Georgia – Tusheti, which inspires every visitor. Via Abano Pass, which is the highest road pass in Europe, located at 2950m above the sea level, we will descend to picturesque villages of Tusheti.

You will visit village Omalo, Diklo and Shenako. You will overnight in a guesthouse in upper Omalo, near the Keselo fortress, where you will try tasty Tushetian Khinkali, Gouda cheese and lamb barbeque. Guests will also learn about Tush traditions.
