Mount Tetnuldi (4858 m)
Tetnuldi is one of the most attractive summits of Svaneti. Its crystal white cone overlooks Mestia and calls travelers for climbing. Mount Tetnuldi offers several highest category routes, though classic route, which goes along south-west ridge of Tetnuldi is 2-A, UIAA category. Climbing this peak is not a significant difficulty for those following an active and healthy lifestyle.

ITINERARY:
Day 0: pick up from Kutaisi airport – transfer to the hotel
You will be picked up and transferred to the hotel in Mestia. Later, you will meet mountain guides to examine hiking equipment and discuss additional questions related to the route.

Day 1: Ugviri pass – Tetnuldi hut
Breakfast (07:00-08:00)
After the breakfast, you will drive by minivan and via Ugviri (2786 m) pass you will get to Tetnuldi hut – located at an altitude of 2756 m, from where you will go along the path to camping site. First camp will be at an altitude of 3013 m. Dinner and overnight will be in tents.

Day 2: exploring surrounding environment
Breakfast (08:00-09:00)
After the breakfast you will go along moraines and snowy mountains. Second campsite will be at an altitude of 3715 m, where you will dine and relax.

Overnight – tent
Day 3: climbing Tetnuldi peak
Breakfast (02:00-03:00)
On this day, you will get up at 1 am and get prepared for the climb. After adjusting the equipment and snacking, around 3 am you will head to the peak. It takes approximately 10-12 hours to climb the peak.

Day 4: Mestia
Breakfast (08:00-09:00)
After the breakfast, you will descend to Tetnuldi hut (2786 m) and then via minivan you will return to Mestia. You will dine and relax in the hotel.

Altitude difference – 3715 m-3013 m
Overnight – hotel
Day 5: transfer to Kutaisi airport
On this day you will return to Kutaisi and you will be transferred to Kutaisi international airport.

Note: Considering travelers’ safety, one guide can lead maximum three people.
In case of weather conditions’ deterioration, the tour can be extended by 1 day. In this case, travelers will have to pay for additional overnight.
