Tusheti and Khevsureti are one of the most beautiful mountainous regions of eastern Georgia. Tusheti is located on the northern slopes of the Greater Caucasus Range. This wonderful region is prominent for its deep gorges, pine forests and picturesque medieval villages. Local residents are mainly sheep-breeders.
Tusheti and Pirikita Khevsureti are connected via Atsunda pass, at an elevation of 3431 meters. This 41 km trekking route is passed yearly by multiple tourists from all around the world.

ITINERARY:
After breakfast, a group of tourists will meet the guides and their assistants. Following the examination of hiking equipment, the group will depart for the village Omalo (by minivan). On the way, tourists will visit Alaverdi Monastery, and then via Abano pass – the highest motorway pass in Europe, which is located at 2950 meters from the sea level, we will descend to the village Omalo, where after lunch you will visit stunning villages Diklo and Shenako.
You will spend the night in the guesthouse in Keselo village, where you will be able to relax and taste famous and extremely delicious Georgian cuisine.

On this day you will visit villages of Gometsari gorge – Bochorma and Dochu and then the picturesque village Dartlo of Alazani, which is very well-preserved. You will also visit villages Parsma, Kvavlo.
The overnight will be in the village of Girevi, where you can relax and during dinner, taste traditional Tushetian dishes.

After breakfast, we will go along the path from the village Girevi to Atsunda pass. On the way, you will visit the stunning village of Chontio. The path goes along beautiful Alazani gorge. You will have lunch on the way.
You will overnight near Atsunda pass, where you will have dinner and a well-deserved rest.

After the breakfast, you will cross the Atsunda pass (altitude 3431m) from where you can observe the spectacular panoramic views. You will have lunch on the way. Later you will camp to the west of the pass, near Khidotani ridge, in Khevsureti, where you will have dinner and time to rest.

After breakfast, along with the marvelous path, you will descend to Mutso fortress, which is constructed without a cement mixture. It leaves an undying impression on every visitor. From Mutso fortress, we will drive to Shatili (Shatili fortress is included in the UNESCO world heritage tentative list) by a minivan. On the way, you will see Anatori tombs.
Guests will overnight in Shatili guesthouse, where they will be able to relax and have dinner in the traditional Georgian environment.

After breakfast, you will travel to Tbilisi by minivan. On the way, you will visit unique Lebaiskari and Kistani fortresses. Later you will have lunch at a restaurant. The afternoon and night you will spend in Tbilisi. You will be accommodated in the hotel.
In the evening you will have dinner and time to rest.

After breakfast, you will travel to Mtskheta – former capital city of Georgia, which is UNESCO world cultural heritage site. You will visit 6th-century Jvari monastery and 11th-century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.
In the afternoon, you will return to Tbilisi and have some spare time.
In the evening, you will have dinner and time to relax.
